Soldiers of Peace at the UNU Asia Premier for Peace

"Soldiers of Peace" will have its Asian Premier in Tokyo for the UNU Asia Premier for Peace on the 26th September 2008. The International Day of Peace, established by the UN on 21st September, is an annual observance of global non-violence and ceasefire. Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon says "Peace is the United Nation's highest calling. It defines our mission. It drives our discourse." The event is supported by Sony Corporation Project and sponsored by Temple University Japan, Global Partnership for the prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC), and the Peace Boat. The screening will be part of the UNU Peace and Governance Programme."

UNU Peace and Governance Programme & Global Lives Project
The UNU Peace & Governance Programme conducts research and capacity development to contribute to the promotion of sustainable peace and good governance. It addresses pressing global issues that are the concern of the United Nations, producing policy-oriented recommendations for current problems and identifying longer term trends and patterns in international politics that hold implications for peace, security and governance.
