She was chosen as one of the lucky six that landed the job after a nationwide search of nearly 3,000 applicants. She then went on to present at Nickelodeon for the next eight years and with over 2,000 shows.
Specializing in celebrity, music and sport news, Mounya was responsible for major live interviews with current and legendary musicians, sports and movie stars, from boy bands like Take That and N'SYNC to Tom Jones, Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams, Beyonce Knowles and Victoria Beckham. She also interviewed movie stars - the likes of Michael Caine, Danny Devito, Hugh Grant, Rodger Moore, Jackie Chan, Cameron Diaz and Robin Williams - as well as directors George Lucas, James Cameron and Ron Howard. Sporting personalities she interviewed include David Beckham, Cathy Freedman, Shane Warne, David Couldthard (F1), Jonnie Herbert (F1), Pat Cash and Frank Bruno.
In 2002, she left London and settled in Australia with her husband Tim and started working on the production side of various television shows including Totally Wild for Channel Ten and Celebrity Overhaul and Celebrity Circus for Channel Nine. She has also continued in her presenting role, covering the Melbourne Grand Prix for GPTV.
