INDIA - Day Two
The next morning we got up to find ourselves sick with burning fever, we also couldn't tolerate any light as it hurt our eyes and it hurt to move our heads. Still they made us continue to walk to the river that morning, basically because we had been abducted. Read more
INDIA - Day One
India turned out to be a nightmare. Basically the Government has built a dam and in the process have displaced over a million people.... The displaced have formed a movement that is fighting for what they call land for land, this being India though every time there is a peaceful protest they are arrested by the police and locked up... sound familiar? NIGERIA - Day Two
What? Oh, all right then if you insist on making me relive the whole ordeal, I'll skip over some bit though as a lot of it is best untold or forgotten. I am on some level sorry that we ever got that bloody visa. Every person I have ever met that has been to Nigeria only has bad things to say about it.... Sadly all my prejudices were confirmed and compounded by the time I left that god-forsaken place. Read more

BURUNDI - Bujumbura
We flew over Burundi early on the morning of 21st of May and the first thing that struck me was how lush and green it looked, the second was the tiny airport we were about to land in. KENYA - Marsabit - Day Four
Last day in Marsabit today, which is a shame as it is really growing on me... even the lodge! This morning there were elephants drinking from the lake near our window and yesterday evening there were herds of water buffalo grazing and drinking right up by our room – quite amazing! Read more
KENYA - Marsabit - Day Three
Now it was time for the big game, the match that the boys had been working towards for the last four months. As the match was being held in the school compound the excitement was high. The head teacher Stephen gave all 607 pupils the day off to watch the game and all of the locals couldn't contain their curiosity and they downed their farming tools and left their chores for the afternoon to share in the excitement! It ended up being quite a crowd! Read more
KENYA - Marsabit - Day Two
We drove to Archer's Post, the last safe place on our route and also the end of the tarmac road. To say that the next five hours of the journey was backbreaking, whiplash inducing and teeth shattering would be an understatement! Read more
KENYA - Marsabit - Day One
I am taking this quick moment to fill you in on the past couple of days' events. As I write, I am in the middle of nowhere in a schoolyard for 607 local children. The view is incredible - 360° panoramic scenery. Hills and bush land as far as the eye can see. Read more
BANGKOK
Didn't think I'd be seeing Bangkok again so soon after Tim's and my Christmas holiday there last year but then again I didn't think I would be travelling the world with my husband making a documentary either! Read more
